Say their name out loud at the start. It settles you.
One specific occasion. Not the whole story — a Tuesday.
The small ordinary thing, not the grand quality. What would you miss on an average Wednesday?
Optional, and only if you want it said in front of people.
Concrete enough that someone could tell whether you had kept it. Two or three is usually plenty.
One line. Land it and stop.

This is a first draft, and it should not be the version you read out. Change the words until they sound like you saying them rather than someone writing them. Cut anything that could have been said by somebody else. The parts you wrote are the parts worth keeping — the rest is only scaffolding, and it is meant to come down.
